CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE No 14

This image was simply called "Basket" it is by Shelly's Images.  From the first momentr I saw this image I could see so many ways to use it, I finally decided on a little experimentation, something a little different,  As the basket has great dimensions, I set about creating a template from the digital image, printed and painted in pencils which I then blended with baby oil.  Yep! this took some time to complete.  Below is a picture of the card after it has been coloured and cut out.
I had a few different ideas as I went, but in the end I added leaves and flowers, some bought, some homemade and decorated not only the front of the card but also the back, trying to get an arrangement look at the front.

Cut out some coloured cardstock and stuck inside with some paper lace.

And the finished project is a hanging card, the card does stand up but on an angle, so I have added a bow and some ribbon to hang the card on and a little bird sitting in the hanging basket.

Dilly Beans Designers & Friday Challenges

Challenge for this Friday at Dilly Beans is to use glitter.  I cut out an image "Squirrel Elf vintage image" which I had from the GraphicsFairy, and mounted the image on some paper with musical notes and then onto some gold paper.  I used gold glitter on his flute and on some of the musical notes.  Added a Happy Birthday rub on.

Challenge #2 for CCCB: Ribbon and/or Lace

After being lucky enough to win the first monthly challenge at Crafters Cafe, I was eager to see what they would put up as a challenge for March.  Turned out to be Ribbon and/or Lace, as I have been trying some new stuff lately and have never used lace on a card, I thought I would use both ribbon and lace.

Template for my little bird house comes from Altered Emporium over at DeviantScrap.  I added a diecut bird emblem from fundamentals.  Punched out a number of  small flowers and added gems to the centres of some of them, twirled some raffia (vine in fence)  and quilling paper (branches going up birdhouse), made the little fence from the letter X in PSE and then cut it out on my Ecraft.  I have wrapped green ribbon around the fence for the vine and placed lace on the eaves of the birdhouse.  Don't know whether it is because I used lace, which is delicate or the fact that I feel delicate at the moment, due to a cold I have, but I used very muted colours to decorate this blue card.

Dilly Beans Designers & Friday Challenges

The challenge at Dilly Beans this week is "green and black".  I picked up this cute freebie "Lucy Leprechaun" at Paper Craft Planet  last friday, they have some cute freebies, but you have to be quick to get them.  I have used a black card and painted Lucy with Copics, and gold glitter for her gold, cut out some shamrocks in green and black, and layered on multiple green papers.  I am putting this away for my Dad's birthday later this year, he will be 89 and we both love a Guinness, hence the little poem I wrote, about the best I can do with rhyming.
Here she sits upon her gold
In her hand a Guinness she does hold
A twinkle in her eye, as she raises her brew
And wishes a Happy Birthday to you.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE No 13

This card has two images.  One is "Sunflowers-Vase by Pattie's Creations and the other image is "Just a Flower" by Glitterbabe.  I have added some lines to give the vase something to sit on and have coloured the image with Copics.  I also printed out 3 of the flowers in the vase, coloured them with pencils, cut out and layered them onto the orignal image.  Printed and coloured 3 images of the 'just a flower' image, and layered them on the bottom of the picture.  I was trying to get a still life picture effect.  Mounted completed image on different coloured paper and added a rub on.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE No 13

This little card has two images, the butterfly is by Crafting with Jack and "Just a Flower" by Glitterbabe.  Both have been coloured in with Copic pens, added some contrasting papers, some little candy buttons and a Rub On to complete the card.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE No. 13

This image is of a pretty young lady, "Miss Beth" by Back to Paper, I did a bit of collaging this time round.  Coloured the image with Copics and made her a poodle skirt to wear and a cupcake to carry.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE No 13

Another fortnight brings another challenge at CDAC, the theme this time is "Spring is coming", which is a bit hard for me as we have just started Autumn and Spring is nowhere near coming!.  The first image is of a little girl by Lia Stampz.  I have created a door hanger, which I think I will send to a little girl I know.
