Just 4 you

I often print out images and colour away whilst watching TV or waiting for the kettle to boil, I won this image some time ago and loved colouring it with pencils.  When I saw a couple of challenges, I decided it was the image I wanted to use, called Potting Flowers it is from Priscillastyles Store.  When I went to my computer to find out who the artist was, I was surprised because one of the challenges I am entering the card in is at CDAC, where you will find Priscilla.

CDAC challenge is " Easy as 1 2 3", and is a recipe challenge.  One flower, two papers and 3 bling.
Robyns Fetish Challenge is Add some Brads and Ribbon
Dilly Beans Designers & Friday Challenge is Metal Accents
Try it On Tuesday is Get Ready for Valentines Day, use a heart.

Paper Piecing

Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week is Paper Piecing.  I've made a journal cover for my youngest grandson who will be going away with us later this year, he is always asking what are we doing tomorrow, so I told him he would have a journal to put everything into, his first junk journal.  I kept it simple and flat as he is only 7 and bulky bits will get in the way.

Anything Goes

The Paper Shelter, nice easy one this fortnight ( but a warning that next fortnight will put us to the test) and The Crafters Digial Art Cente, (who have started up their Progressive Freebie Challenges again, with a bit of a twist this time), are both having "Anything Goes" challenges.  The image on my card is from A&T Digital designs and is called Boo and Snooki, which I was lucky enough to win a while ago.

Round Cards

Robyns Fetish Challenge this week is round cards. Using bits and pieces from my stash I came up with this round card.  She is only small, but can stretch a long way.

Doggy Treats by Retro Designs

Got to do some digital scrapping the other night and used Retro Designs "Doggy Treats" kit.

The first is our little dog, she is a pug/cavalier spaniel cross as cute as a button, although she does molt all the time, and I do mean all of the time, hubby's job to brush her.

And this fun vintage image caught my eye for a second page using Doggy Treats

Lets Get Stitchy

Try it on Tuesday's challenge this fortnight is Lets Get Stitchy, faux or real.  Here's my Birthday card with faux stitching.  Clown has been coloured with Copics and the Happy Birthday sign has been created with Photoshop Elements.

Golden Oldie

A Blog Named Hero is having a challenge called Golden Oldie, where you have to use a stamp you have had for a while,  I've used a little girl by ABauer called Bitty Betty that I have had for about 18 months and never used.  Here she is all shy and offering you a bunch of flowers for your special day.

Simon Says use Washi Tape

Here's a steampunk card that I have made, quick and easy with a graphic cut from Graphic45 Steampunk Debutante Collection - Retro Artistry, a couple of cogs and Light Bulb Washi Tape. I have entered the card in the Use Washi Tape at Simons Says this week.

What's Pink, Purple has lace and lots of Embellishments

The challenge for this weeks ATC at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenges is to Embellish It!, Over at Robyns Fetish Challenge Blog the theme is Pink, Purple and Lace.  I have been racking my brains what to do, and then I saw that CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge had started up again and I got this lovely Angel from Shelly's Images.  So I decided to put all of the challenges together and come up with a Victorian like ATC.  Image is coloured with Touch pens, all the bits and pieces are things I had laying around.  So as a first for me I am entering this ATC into three challenges.  Hope you like her.

Anything Goes at The Crafters Cafe

Into week 3 at the Crafter's Cafe Challenge for January 2013, I'm still recycyling and trying to make some more male cards, the image I have used is called "Jethro Jug" from Dude Time Doodles.  Coloured with pencils and mounted on some cardstock and hessian.  Added a bunch of raffia on the side and a Happy Birthday Note.

Think I will keep looking through my leftovers to see what else I can create, looks like recycling can be fun and certainly lots cheaper.

Got to play with some cute images from QKR Stampede, couldn't decide which to use so I decided to do a collage of stamps and make a little scene.

Stamps used: Turtle is called Kisses,  Bear is Chocolate Kisses, Little girls together is Secrets, then we have Girl with Basket and the image that started me thinking about this card Old Tree, I fell in love with this tree when I first saw it.  Whole picture has been coloured with watercolour pencils, some highlights have been included with Touch pens.

New Technique

A Blog named Hero is having a New challenge, anything new, so I've tried some Faux Stitching, loved the result and will definitely be using this technique more often.  The image I have coloured with Touch pens is Anjis Antics Peony Frame, distressed edges of card and thankyou note.  I used perforated paper as a template for the holes for my faux stitching and then a fine plack pen.  The perforated paper has also been used as the photo corners on the card.

Clean and Simple

Hotshot Craft Blog has a Clean and Simple challenge. I've printed a train call Old-Chuffa on some glossy craft paper, mounted it on double sided paper, brown oneside, and old letters on the other, 7G Camden Columbia.  Had a couple of offcuts from when I was trimming the paper, so I folded them and stapled to bottom of card.  A very quick clean and simple card.

Simon Says Something New

Over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, the challenge is something new, I have tried a new product for me, Liquid Pearls, The different flowers on the card have either been bought or made by me, and the large flower is a combination I have put together.  I have never used Liquid Pearls before, I loved painting the petals on the large flower, it gve them a beautiful sheen (I used buttercup)  I also tried dotting the pearls in the centre, wasn't happy with the result, it was a very hot day and the paint seemed very thin, so I stuck some very small glass beads into the Liquid Pearls before it dried.  I also used some touch pens for highlighting on the petals as well.

Anything goes at The Paper Shelter.

The Paper Shelter are currently having an Anything Goes challenge.  I've used this cute image from The Paper Shelter called Cabaret Lolly, used her 3 times in fact and made a chorus line.  Coloured with Touch and Copic Pens, also used a silver watercolour pen for the canes. Typed up the words and put on a musical sticker.  Hats have been sculptured and placed on with 3d tape, the images have been raised at different levels.

New Stash at Try It On tuesday

Try It On Tuesday - theme for this fortnight is New Stash.  Lucky for me I picked up some items on Sale at Kazmos Kreations and got them last night.  What I have used is some new card from Mix'd Media Stax, love these papers and cards, flower and butteffly images, only had a short time available to create last night and this is what I came up with.

Anything Goes at The Crafters Cafe

The Crafters Cafe theme for January 2013 is Anything goes,  can be made from any products you have, doesn't have to have an image.  I decided to look in my stash and to use some papers that were left over from other projects, to create a Male Happy Birthday Card.

Background is a herringbone pattern that I have made with strips of 3 different papers. The vintage vehicle came from a paper that had lots of different cars.  I have mounted it on dark brown cardstock, distressed everything, added some split pins and mounted on 3D squares.  The little Happy Birthday message is also from some old paper I had in my stash again mounted on 3D squares, inside is a matching Best Wishes sign.

Fairy Happy New Year

It's Wednesday again and Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge are wishing us a Fairy Happy New Year.  I have used some papers I had a home for this ATC, background and clock are from Kraft Reflections Collection - Before your time.  The fairies and flower are from Graphic45 - Once upon a Springtime.  I have used various inks to highlight and add colour to the fairies and flower, glitter to the clock.

Winter at Dilly Beans

Dilly Beans theme this week is Winter, which could not be further from the fact where I live, tomorrow is expected to be 36 Celsius (96.8F) and Friday 41 Celsius (105.8F) lucky I love hot weather.  For this card I chose to colour an image from A Day for Daisies called "Five Robins in Winter".  I have coloured the image with Touch and Copic Pens, Gel Pen and Derwent Pencils.  I was going to add some glitter to the snow and then changed my mind, liked it left uncoloured.  Mounted on some brown and mint green and the card is made frm Kraft Paper.  No embellishments, just wanted the scene to come to life on its own.
